CELL PHONE RECYCLING
The Capilano Students' Union is a depot for the Phones for Food Program. All proceeds from the program go to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank. Turn your old unwanted cell phone into food for our community's most vulnerable by dropping it in the box located in our front office -MA116. Recycling your cell phone is also good for the environment. Cell phones contain toxic elements like arsenic, beryllium, cadmium, antimony, lead and mercury. These toxins leak into the ground water and infect everything from wildlife to drinking water.
